Alicante has some of the most sunshine hours in Europe, which makes photovoltaic self-consumption one of the most profitable investments for a home or business. A well-sized system covers a good part of the bill and pays back within a few years.

As licensed electricians we handle the part that makes the difference: the electrical installation, the protections, the inverter connection and, above all, the full legalisation, the self-consumption registration and the surplus-compensation request with the distributor.

A solar installation does not end on the roof: for it to be legal and for the energy you export to be discounted on your bill, you need the installation certificate, the self-consumption registration and the compensation contract with the retailer. We manage it from start to finish.

We also advise on batteries and grants. Batteries are not mandatory, but they provide outage backup and use night-time energy; we tell you whether they pay off in your specific case before proposing them.

The size of the system does not come from what fits on the roof, but from how much you consume and, above all, at what times. What matters is the hourly curve your distributor publishes in your customer area: it shows what share of your consumption falls in daylight hours, and that is the share the panels can genuinely cover.

Oversizing produces surplus that is compensated at a price well below what you pay for the energy you buy, so each additional kWp returns less than the one before. In homes with consumption concentrated in the evening and at night, a tightly sized system usually works out better — combined, where possible, with shifting loads such as the washing machine, the water heater or the car to the middle of the day.
