Parking Coverage

Underground garages and car parks usually have no mobile coverage, which is a safety issue: emergency calls cannot be made. We install distributed antenna systems that bring the signal to every level, legally and with homologated equipment.

It is a common solution in property communities, and can be coordinated with the installation of EV charging points in the garage, making the most of the same site visit.

Underground garages and car parks are, by definition, one of the worst places for mobile coverage: they are below ground, surrounded by concrete and with no window for the signal to enter. This is above all a safety issue, because it prevents an emergency call if someone has an accident, a breakdown or a risky situation in the car park.

The solution is a distributed antenna system that brings the signal captured outside to every level and ramp of the garage. We measure coverage level by level to place antennas where they are really needed and ensure calls can be made from any space.

In property communities, giving the garage coverage is a highly valued improvement and relatively easy to approve at the owners' meeting. We prepare a clear quote for the community, with homologated equipment and legal installation coordinated with the operator.

Also, if the community is installing or plans to install EV charging points in the garage, we can coordinate both jobs and make the most of the same site visit, saving time and disruption for residents.

The drop is not gradual: it happens in the first few metres of the ramp, as soon as the floor slab comes between the phone and the outdoor antenna. From there the level does not recover, however large the garage is, because reinforced concrete and the ramp's own geometry stop the signal turning corners.

So the first indoor antenna goes precisely in that transition stretch and not in the middle of the garage, which is where it usually ends up for cabling convenience. From there it is distributed along the traffic aisles, with particular attention to the corners where the storage units and pedestrian doors are.
