Garage Doors

We install and repair automatic garage door motors in homes and communities across Alicante province. A door that will not open, stops halfway or does not respond to the remote usually has its cause in the motor, the limit switch or the safety photocells.

We diagnose and repair in the same visit wherever possible, and when the automation is very old we replace it with a newer, safer and quieter one. We program additional remotes and, on many models, mobile opening, very convenient for everyday use.

On community doors we give notice before starting and always keep access working while the job lasts, because a garage blocked for hours is a problem for the whole building.

The photocells are the pair of facing sensors at floor level that stop the door if something crosses while it is closing. When they get dirty, are knocked out of alignment or lose power, many controllers drop into a degraded mode: the door stops closing on its own, or only closes while you hold the remote down. That symptom, which almost everyone reads as a motor fault, is usually exactly this.

The second is the manual release, the lever or key that frees the door from the motor so it can be moved by hand. We show you where it is and how to use it before we leave, because on the day the power goes there is no other way to get the car out and that is not the moment to go looking. On community doors we also check the pedestrian exit stays usable at all times.

A communal garage door completes in a week the cycles a private one does in months, and that figure is what should drive the choice of controller. A motor rated for residential use fitted to a thirty-space building overheats, cuts out on thermal protection and eventually fails at peak hour. We count the actual cycles before proposing equipment.

The other half is access management. With loose remotes, every time someone sells or lets their space the remote keeps working, and there is no way to know how many are in circulation. Systems with a programmable receiver let a specific remote be cancelled without changing the rest, and we leave the association a written procedure so they can do it without depending on us.
