A video intercom that will not open, shows no image or only crackles is one of the most common faults in homes and communities in Alicante. We repair the street panel, the monitors, the power supply and the wiring, and when the equipment is very old we upgrade it to a digital video intercom.

In communities, upgrading the intercom improves security for all residents and is usually one of the most appreciated investments. We replace central units and monitors while keeping the existing wiring wherever possible, to lower the cost of the work.

This is the question that decides the budget in a building with an eighties or nineties entry system: does new cable have to be run up the whole riser? In most cases, no. Current two-wire systems use the existing pair and carry audio, video and power over it, which avoids the most expensive work of all: opening the service shaft floor by floor.

It also allows the replacement to be phased. The street panel and the controller are changed first, and the handsets in each flat are replaced afterwards, even at each owner's own cost if the association prefers. We check the condition of the existing cabling beforehand, because a pair degraded by damp does force renewal and it is worth knowing before anything is approved.
