Air Conditioning Wiring

In Alicante, air conditioning stops being optional every summer, and most seasonal electrical faults come from connecting the unit to a circuit not prepared for its load. A split or ducted unit needs its own dedicated line and breaker from the panel.

We prepare the electrical installation so the AC runs safely and without tripping: we size the circuit, add the right protection and, if you are installing several units, we review the contracted power and expand the panel. If another company fits the AC, we do the electrical part only.

Every year, as soon as the heat arrives, air-conditioning emergencies spike: tripping RCDs, overheating sockets and panels that cannot handle several units at once. Getting the electrical work done in spring avoids waits and peak-season prices.

If you are renovating or adding AC in several rooms, the ideal is to plan the needed lines from the panel. We leave it ready so that on installation day the climate technician only has to connect.

A multi-split uses one outdoor unit for several indoor ones, so electrically it is a single line with a single protective device; separate units mean several lines, each with its own. The first option takes up less room in the panel and on the facade; the second means a fault leaves only one room without cooling rather than the whole house.

The decision should not be made on price alone. In homes where not every room is in use at once, separate units often consume less because each one stops when its room reaches temperature. In a multi-split, the outdoor unit keeps running while any indoor unit is calling for it. We give you both configurations with their circuit layout before you decide.
