Pool Electrical in Jávea
In Jávea the pool problem does not arrive in summer but in autumn, when a cold-drop storm leaves the plant room with water above the motor.

Many huts are dug below the waterline so the filter can work by gravity, and that same level makes them the low point of the plot when a month's rain falls in hours. After a storm this is most of what we attend: installations that have been submerged and that somebody is tempted to switch back on as soon as the water drops.
After the storm: what to check before energising again
A motor that has been submerged does not dry from the outside. Water gets into the terminal box and into the winding itself, and energising it with damp inside turns a repair into a replacement. The same goes for the panel: an RCD that has been under water may reset and look normal for weeks before it stops protecting.
The order we follow is always the same: everything dead, insulation measured before anything is connected, dry out or replace depending on what the reading says, and check the cable entries the water came through. Only then does it get energised. It is slower than flipping the switch, and it is the difference between losing a pump and keeping it.
