Manufacturer's warranty or installation fault: who is liable

It is the first question almost every owner asks us in La Zenia or Villamartín. The manufacturer's warranty covers the unit, not the installation feeding it: if the charger fails because of insufficient earthing, a wrongly chosen protective device or water ingress, the support desk will reject the claim, and rightly so.

We first establish which of the two it is and tell you with the measurements in front of us. If the fault is in the unit and it is still under warranty, we give you the report with the measured values so you can claim from the manufacturer rather than pay for a repair that is not yours to pay for. We work in English and Spanish.
